Welcome to 2020!

It feels like our family is finally emerging from the fog of survival mode over here and starting to see things a little more clearly. Whether it’s the holiday hangover or the can-the-kids-go-back-to-school-already madness or maybe a survival mode that runs a little deeper, I’m sure many of you can relate. One comforting thing that remains constant is that we’re all in this together.

Our Story

Our journey began in 2017 with the birth of our third daughter. Along with her adorable chubby cheeks and dimples, her health brought a whole lot of uncertainty, worry, and a new perspective. Margy was born with general hypotonia, ptosis in her right eyelid, cervical spinal stenosis, and a chromosomal deletion. Our family has learned–and is still learning–to cope with the reality that there are some things you can control and some you cannot.

We are going to spend 2020 mindfully focused on living in the present and taking lots of belly breaths along the way. Without giving a giant backstory on day one, my hope is that this blog becomes a space to reflect and share while creating and connecting with you!

Join Us

Other than overcoming the hurdle of Marg’s health, we are a pretty typical fam. We balance soccer practices and dance classes, cook a lot of chicken nuggets, and lose track of the spelling homework on the reg. Join us as we travel, create, laugh, certainly cry, and learn through this new decade.
